Seit ich
in Barbados bin fühle ich mich schlapp... es begann mit Fieber und einer
Erkältung, dann kamen Schmerzen in Muskeln und Gelenke dazu und vor allem war
ich immer müde... Ich benutze den AC nie, weil ich krank davon werde, und ich
hab sogar den Ventilator abgestellt, weil Gilles Haus über ein super
natürliches Belüftungssystem verfügt. Als wir dann über Mückenkrankheiten
sprachen, war ich mir nicht ganz sicher, ob mich solch ein kleines Biest krank
gemacht hat?! Hier in Barbados und vor allem bei Stacey und Gilles hat es zwar
fast keine Mücken, aber in Montserrat wurde ich im wahrsten Sinn des Wortes
attackiert...
I've been feeling weak ever since I arrived in Barbados... it started with a fever and a cold, then I got pain in my muscles and joints and, above all, I was always tired... I never use the AC because it makes me sick, and I even turned off the fan because Gilles’ house has a great natural ventilation system. When we talked about mosquito diseases, I wasn't quite sure whether such a little beast made me sick?! Here in Barbados and especially at Stacey and Gilles' place, there are almost no mosquitoes, but in Montserrat I was literally attacked by them...

Ich liess
es mir aber nicht verderben auf meine Jogging- und Spazierrunden zu gehen, aber
danach war ich einfach nur müde!
But nothing could stop me from going for a run or a walk, just afterwards I was very tired!

Stacey
und Gilles sind sehr umweltfreundlich, so wird die Stromversorgung tagsüber
100% von Solarpanels übernommen. Nächsten Monat werden Batterien geliefert, so
dass sie in diesem Aspekt gänzlich unabhängig vom Staat sind und überschüssigen
Strom sogar verkaufen können. Gilles Hauptauto ist voll elektrisch, was Sinn
macht auf einer kleinen Insel: Mit kurzen Distanzen gibt es nie
Ladeschwierigkeiten wie zum Beispiel in Irland (https://franziskaaeschbach29.blogspot.com).

Stacey and Gilles are very environmentally friendly, so 100% of their
electricity is provided by solar panels during the day. Batteries will be
delivered next month, consequently they are completely independent of the
government in this respect and can even sell excess electricity. Gilles main
car is fully electric, which makes sense on a small island: With short
distances there are never any charging difficulties like for example in Ireland
