Um 8 Uhr war es Zeit um weiterzuziehen... die drei Stück Toast packte ich ein um sie später auf der Fähre mit meinem restlichen Cream Cheese zu verzehren... Der Hotelshuttle fuhr mich und mein Gepäck direkt auf die Bequia Express (https://bequiaexpress.com) nach St. Vincent. Die Überfahrt dauerte 1 Stunde und bei der Ankunft in Kingstown, war die Hafenbehörde draussen bereit und erteilte Pässe für diejenigen, die die Fähre in die Grenadine nahmen. Die Fähre musste anschliessend an einem zweiten Ort andocken, um die LKWs aufzunehmen. Um 11:00 Uhr waren wir endlich bereit, die 2 1/2-stündige Reise nach Canouan anzutreten.

At 8 am it was time to move on... I packed the three pieces of toast to eat later on the ferry with the rest of my cream cheese... The hotel shuttle took me and my luggage directly on board of the Bequia Express (https://bequiaexpress.com) to St. Vincent. The crossing took 1 hour and upon arrival in Kingstown, the port authority was already outside and issued passes for those taking the ferry to the Grenadines. The ferry then had to dock at a second location to pick up the trucks. At 11 am we were finally ready to start the 2 1/2 hour journey to Canouan.

Die Grenadinen wollte ich immer schon besuchen... ich war so viele Male in der Karibik und habe es nie geschafft! Ich bin glücklich eine Fähre gefunden zu haben, die einige der 120 kleinen Grenadin-Inseln ansteuert. Vielleicht kann ich dann von diesen Inseln zum Beispiel die Tobago Cays besuchen? : )

I've always wanted to visit the Grenadines... I've been to the Caribbean so many times and never managed it! I'm happy to have found a ferry that goes to some of the 120 small Grenadine islands. Maybe I can then visit for example the Tobago Cays from these islands? : )

Als ich kurz nach 14:00 Uhr die Fähre in Charlestown Canouan verliess, stand Power mit seinem Kart bereit, um mich den Hügel hinauf zu den Bay View Apartments (https://www.bvecanouan.com) zu bringen. Dort hatte ich für drei Nächten ein Apartment gemietet. Seine Frau Sharon begrüsste mich herzlich und ich richtete mich ein.

When I left the ferry in Charlestown Canouan shortly after 2:00 pm, Power awaited with his kart to take me up the hill to Bay View Apartments (https://www.bvecanouan.com). I had rented an apartment there for three nights. His wife Sharon welcomed me warmly and I settled in.
