Als mich um 4:30 Uhr der Wecker aus meinem
Halbschlaf holte, war mein ganzes Gesicht voller Mückenstiche! - Auch ideale
Zuhause haben Nachteile: Hier in der Karibik sind es für mich die Mücken... am
besten geschlafen habe ich mit einem Moskitonetz, dem ich vertrauen und
loslassen kann...
Bubbles (+1 473-407-1029), der Vater von Fitzroy The
Boat House (+1 473-403-0986),
holte mich um 5:30 Uhr ab und fuhr mich zur Osprey Ferry (https://www.ospreylines.com), am andern Ende der Tyrell Bay.
Momentan fährt die Osprey 3 x die Woche nach Grenada (und umgekehrt): um 6 und
17 Uhr, 2 Stunden Überfahrt. Die Fahrt verging im Nu mit Duolingo (https://www.duolingo.com) und Ausschauhalten für gute Fotomotive! : )
When the alarm woke me up from my half-sleep at 4:30 am, my whole face was covered in mosquito bites! - Even ideal homes have disadvantages: Here in the Caribbean, it's the mosquitoes for me... I slept best with a mosquito net and I can trust and let go...
Bubbles (+1 473-407-1029), the father of Fitzroy The Boat House (+1 473-403-0986), picked me up at 5:30 am and drove me to the Osprey Ferry (https://www.ospreylines.com), at the other end of Tyrell Bay. Currently, the Osprey goes to Grenada (and vice versa) 3 times a week: at 6 a. and 5 pm, 2 hour crossing time. The trip went by in a flash with Duolingo (https://www.duolingo.com) and looking out for good photo opportunities! : )

Nach der Ankunft in St. George’s, Grenadas schmucke
Hauptstadt, erwartete mich Ken und fuhr mich zum Ocean View Apartments (+1-473-449-6502) in Belmont/St. George's - Einkaufen
unterwegs inklusive! : ) Zuerst richtete ich mich ein… schliesslich werde ich etwa
10 Tage hier verbringen… Auf ein Zuhause für mehr als nur ein paar Tage freute
ich mich nun nach dem vielen Reisen.
After arriving in St. George's, Grenada's pretty capital, Ken was awaiting me and drove me to the Ocean View Apartments (+1-473-449-6507) in Belmont/St. George's - shopping included! : ) First I settled in... after all, I'm going to spend about 10 days here... I was looking forward to having a home for more than just a few days after all the traveling.

Dann brauchte ich Auslauf: Ich joggte zu Grand Anse
und dann den 3 km langen Strand entlang zum andern Ende, wo ich schwimmen ging –
sooo schön! Nur… hier gibt es wieder Kreuzfahrtschifftouristen, und zwar ziemlich
viele, mindestens 2 Schiffe am Tag! Es ist die erste Woche nach dem Hurrikan
letzten Sommer, dass die Kreuzfahrtschiffe wieder kommen…

Then I
needed some physical exercise: I went for a run to Grand Anse and then along
the 3 km long beach to the other end, where I went swimming - sooo beautiful!
Only... here there are cruise ship tourists once again, quite a lot of them, at
least 2 ships a day! It's the first week since the hurricane last summer that
the cruise ships are coming back...
