Für Samstag hatte ich einen direkter Flug mit
Sunrise Airways (https://www.sunriseairways.net) nach St. Vincent gefunden… und Jeanita von Petti Rosa (airbnb.com/h/pettirosa) offerierte mich in die Stadt
Castries zum Vigie Flughafen zu fahren. : ) Wie immer war ich nervös
weiterzureisen, und es wurde noch schlimmer, als ich bemerkte, wie langsam wir
vorwärts kamen: eine Kolonne voller Autos von Gros Islets nach Castries! Aber
wir erreichen den kleinen Flughafen 1 1/2 Stunden vor Abflug und nachdem ich
mein Gepäck aufgegeben hatte, war Warten angesagt – ich verweilte sogar eine 1/2
Stunde am Vigie Strand! : )
For Saturday I had found a direct flight with Sunrise Airways (https://www.sunriseairways.net) to St. Vincent... and Jeanita from Petti Rosa (airbnb.com/h/pettirosa) offered to drive me to the city of Castries to Vigie Airport. : ) As always I was nervous when travelling and it got even worse when I noticed how slowly we were moving forward: a column full of cars from Gros Islets to Castries! But we reached the small airport 1 1/2 hours before departure and after I had checked in my luggage, I had to wait - I spent 1/2 hour on Vigie Beach! : )

Etwas verspätet starteten wir den 20-minütigen Flug
in Castries, St. Lucia, und kamen kurz nach 12 Uhr in St. Vincent an. Das
Prozedere in kleinen Flughäfen ist einfach viel entspannter! : ) Damian (+1-784-5339256) stand
mit einem Schild Castle Berry Apartments (+1-784-4953373) beim Ausgang und empfing mich.
Keine halbe Stunde später befand ich mich in meinem neuen Zuhause für die
nächste Woche.
We took off with a minor delay from Castries, St. Lucia, and arrived in St. Vincent after a 20-minutes flight at noon. The procedure in small airports is simply much more relaxed! : ) Damian (+1-784-5339256) was welcoming me at the exit with a sign for Castle Berry Apartments (+1-784-4953373). Less than half an hour later I was in my new home for the next week.

Curious as I am, after installing and rearranging things, I went on an exploratory walk to Brighton Salt Pond Beach - wonderfully dramatic black!

Ich war 2004 schon mal eine Woche auf St. Vincent –
inklusive Besteigung des aktiven Vulkans Soufrière und einige Tage auf Bequia! St.
Vincent scheint immer noch wild zu sein… wie Dominica, deshalb für mich der
kleine Bruder… Auf der 345 km2 kleinen Insel leben 100'000 Menschen
und der Staat St. Vincent und die Grenadinen umfasst 8 grössere und 120
kleinere Inseln… mal sehen, welche ich besuchen werde…

had spent a week on St. Vincent - including climbing the active volcano
Soufrière and a few days on Bequia! St. Vincent still seems to be wild... like
Dominica, which is why it's the little brother for me... 100,000 people live on
the 345 km2 island and the state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines consists
of 8 larger and 120 smaller islands... let's see which ones I'll visit...
