Für 200 km (160 km per Flug) benötigte ich heute sage
und schreibe 6 Stunden – und das meiste davon war Warten! Ken von Ocean View
Apartments (+1-473-449-6507) brachte mich um
11 Uhr zum Flughafen, wir gaben mein Gepäck auf und er zeigte mir seinen
Lieblingsstrand auf Grenada, gleich nebenan: Magazine Beach. : ) Zurück im
Flughafen kam alle 15 Minuten eine Durchsage, dass der Flug weiterhin verspätet
ist… bis wir dann kurz vor 15 Uhr einstiegen und wir mit 1 ½ Stunden Verspätung
den halbstündigen Flug nach Trinidad starteten…
Today it took me 6 hours to travel 200 km (160 km by plane) – and most of that time was spending waiting! Ken from Ocean View Apartments (+1-473-449-6507) took me to the airport at 11 am, we checked in my luggage, and he showed me his favourite beach in Grenada, right next door: Magazine Beach. : ) Back at the airport, there was an announcements every 15 minutes that the flight was further delayed… until we finally boarded shortly before 3 pm and with a 1.5-hour delay we took off for the half-hour flight to Trinidad…

In Trinidad dauerte es eine ganze Stunde bis ich
durch das Einreiseprozedere war – seeehr ermüdend! : ( Ich nahm mir kurzerhand
ein Taxi, das unterwegs nach Port of Spain zum Einkaufen anhielt. Und ich war
glücklich, als mich Philena im gemütlichen The Zen Den (+1-868-359 8785) begrüsste. : )
Wir hatten einander sofort gefunden und Philena lud
mich spontan zum Abendessen zu ihren Eltern ein. : ) Auf dem Rückweg konnte ich
nicht ohne Halt am Häagen Dazs vorbeilaufen und wir gönnten uns ein Dessert!

Trinidad, it took me a full hour to get through immigration – veeery tiring! :
( I took the next taxi, which stopped for shopping on the way to Port of Spain.
And I was happy when Philena welcomed me at the cozy The Zen Den (+1-868-359 8785). : )
We
immediately connected and Philena spontaneously invited me to dinner at her
parents' house. : ) On the way back, I couldn't pass by without stopping at
Häagen-Dazs, and we treated ourselves to a desert!
